At this year’s Society of Nuclear Medicine’s Annual Meeting one group of researchers presented such a patch. The patch is infused with phosphorus-32, a radioactive isotope used to treat some types of cancer. Now Big Blue has made the first prototype integrated onto a single chip, using the CMOS processing technique used in commercial chip fabs. It’s still a research prototype, but goes some way to validate IBM’s claim that the technology could be commercialized.”

The plane stayed aloft for 87 minutes, performing test maneuvers as well as completing a successful takeoff and landing. With the first test flight behind them, the developers can focus on gearing up for their around-the-world solar powered flight set for 2012.”

    OMG, this is pretty gnarly. Vanderbilt Freshman Pitcher Corey Williams threw a really bad off-speed pitch and Florida 3B Austin Maddox smoked it right where he has been taught to aim his entire life. The best part is the ball did not hit him in the head, and the video is not as gruesome as the X-Ray.
