    angry tapir writes “Researchers at Fujitsu Laboratories have developed a wireless charging system that they say can simultaneously charge a variety of portable gadgets over a distance of several centimeters without the need for cables. The system, which will be detailed at a technical conference in Japan this week, could begin appearing in mobile phones and other products as soon as 2012, the company said.   • Google Starts Charging a Signup Fee For Chrome Extension Developers

    trooperer writes “On Thursday, Google introduced two significant changes in the Google Chrome Extensions Gallery: a developer signup fee and a domain verification system. The signup fee is a one-time payment of $5.     CNBC host Dennis Kneale scoffed at the idea of charging for virtual items in games when talking with a Playfish co-founder and even said “you guys got quite a racket going on”, practically inferring that Playfish has something shady going on behind their business.
